7z libraries for PHP

PHP has no 7z support in its extensions (ZipArchive handles ZIP, PharData handles TAR and ZIP) and there is no pure-PHP 7z implementation. The practical choice is a wrapper around the 7-Zip program:

• Archive7z (gemorroj/archive7z) runs the 7z / 7zz command through Symfony Process. It lists, reads, extracts, creates and modifies 7z archives with everything 7-Zip supports, including passwords and encrypted file names. 7-Zip must be installed on the server and proc_open must be allowed.
