GIF libraries for Python

• Pillow is the standard choice: read every frame of an animated GIF (composited to full frames), read durations and the loop count, and write animated GIFs with save_all=True, per-frame durations, disposal methods, transparency and palette optimization.

imageio (BSD-2) reads and writes GIFs as NumPy arrays and uses Pillow for GIF underneath. For smaller files, run the output through gifsicle or use pygifsicle to call it from Python.
