Markdown libraries for Go
- goldmark is the standard Markdown parser for Go: fully CommonMark-compliant, extensible (custom block and inline parsers, AST transformers, renderers), with built-in GFM, footnotes, definition lists and typographer extensions, and no dependencies outside the standard library. github.com/yuin/goldmark/v2) is the current release with a reworked, generic API; version 1 remains widely used and still gets fixes.
Other Go parsers exist: gomarkdown/markdown (a fork of the older Blackfriday, not CommonMark-compliant, with many extensions) and Blackfriday itself, which is no longer developed.
