zipfile in the standard library reads, creates and appends to ZIP archives with stored, DEFLATE, bzip2, LZMA and (since Python 3.14) Zstandard entries, and supports ZIP64. It decrypts ZipCrypto but can’t create encrypted archives or read AES. For AES, the third-party pyzipper package extends zipfile.
