HEIC libraries for C#

• LibHeifSharp wraps the libheif C API: decoding and encoding, grids, thumbnails, depth images, Exif and XMP. You provide the native libheif (with libde265 and x265) yourself. LGPL-3.0.
• Magick.NET opens HEIC files out of the box: its NuGet package contains libheif with the libde265 decoder. It can’t write HEIC (no HEVC encoder is bundled), but it can write AVIF.

On Windows, apps can also decode HEIC through the Windows Imaging Component (System.Windows.Media.Imaging in WPF, or Windows.Graphics.Imaging) if the HEIF and HEVC extensions from the Microsoft Store are installed. ImageSharp and SkiaSharp don’t support HEIC.

• Magick.NET Magick.NET opens HEIC and HEIF photos in C# and .NET with the libheif and libde265 bundled in its NuGet package. Convert HEIC to JPEG, read Exif.
