WebP libraries for Go
The Go standard library has no WebP codec.
- x/image/webp is the Go team’s pure Go decoder for lossy, lossless and alpha WebP. It registers with
image.Decode. It can’t encode and doesn’t decode animations. - gen2brain/webp is libwebp compiled to WebAssembly and translated to Go, so it encodes and decodes, including animation, without cgo. It uses a system libwebp when one is installed. MIT.
- gen2brain/webp gen2brain/webp encodes and decodes WebP in Go without cgo, using libwebp compiled to WebAssembly. How to encode lossy and lossless WebP, read.
- x/image/webp golang.org/x/image/webp is the Go team's pure Go WebP decoder. How to decode lossy, lossless and transparent WebP, get dimensions without decoding.
